We are pleased to announce that the elite Indian Air Force has again considered our campus for Fast Track Selection (FTS) for short listing of the candidates for selection into Flying, Meteorology and Accounts Branches.  The details are as given below:

About FTS:
Indian Air Force, the fourth largest Air Force in the world offers a great career opportunity to young aspirants for making a bright and dynamic career.  It has been their endeavour to provide options to the youth pursuing various streams and levels of education to join different branches in IAF through a variety of entry modes.  With a view to reach out to the candidates, IAF conducts campus selection drives called Fast Track Selection (FTS) in reputed educational institutions spread all over the Country. The aim of FTS is to shortlist the candidates at designated campuses for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards.

Candidates short listed on the basis of Phase-I testing (AFCAT and Screening test for Accounts & Flying Branch and Screening test for Meteorology Branch) will be called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards. Selected candidates should be able to submit all documents before 15 Dec 14 and will be inducted for training in Jan 15 Course.  Candidates who have already appeared for 5 Day testing in any of the AFSBs for 15 SSC(M) & 44 SSC (W) (for Flying Branch) & 137 PC / 30 SSC(M) / 46 SSC (W) (for Accounts and Met Branch) are not eligible. Airmen are not eligible to apply.

Entrepreneurship awareness programme

An Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme is organised  by MBA department in our college on 21/08/2014 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm .It is compulsory for M.tech (ECE) 1st and 3rd sem and B TECH 7th semester (ECE) students.

Postponing of Remaining M.tech Presentations

 Due to elections at Patiala and special leave declared by management. for 21/08/2014, Remaining presentations of mid term thesis of  M.tech Students will be conducted on 23rd august 2014, Saturday from 11:00 am onwards.

Submission of Mid Term Thesis Report M.Tech ECE Batch 2014 students

Dear Students

This is to inform all the students that they have to submit mid-term report on 20th August 2014. Students should report sharply at 10.00 a.m. in the seminar hall (4F 17) along with their presentation and spiral bound report. You have to discuss the progress till date i.e.  You have to discuss literature review and work done till date.
You will be given 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for suggestions/ viva of the work. Kindly refer the  blog for format of report.

About the Competition:
V-Guard’s Big Idea Business Plan Contest 2014 invites students from B-Schools and B.Tech colleges across India to think of an interesting opportunity that you think is worthwhile for V-Guard to pursue in its pursuit for growth, and prepare a sound business plan to capture that opportunity. Opportunities can take shape in various forms:

• Innovations that cover products, services, solutions or embrace any aspect of business like processes go-to-market etc which will create value for V -Guard. It can also include untapped business opportunities or unexplored areas for growth.

The contest comprises of different phases. The teams have to register online before 30th August 2014. An online brief will be sent to the registered teams. The teams would then have to submit a short executive summary of their business plan for V-Guard on or before 13th September 2014. The top 20 teams shortlisted will be intimated by 22nd September and will then advance to the contest’s finals. The Top 20 teams should then submit their final written report of the plan on or before 11th October 2014. This will be followed by an oral presentation before the Top Management of V- Guard. The performance of the teams would be evaluated based on the written report and the oral presentation .The first prize of Rs. 1, 00,000 & Summer Internship Program /Project work 2015 with stipend for 1styear participants, second prize of Rs. 50,000, third prize of Rs 25,000 and two special jury awards of Rs 10,000 each await the winners. The Business Plan Contest Finals will be held on October 17th & 18th 2014.
