5. SEMINAR ON TRENDS AND REQUIREMENTS OF AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY:
The Electechural Club of ECE Deptt. under guidance of Dr.
Rajneesh Talwar, organized a informative lecture on Automotive industry and
need of the Automobile industry on 20/01/2014. More than 100 students from Electronics and
Mechanical Streams participated in the event. Expert from Medhaavi Centre for Automotive
research gave students an overview of the requirement of Upcoming Automobile
industry. Experts explained how the automobile industry was becoming more advanced,
more efficient, more consumer friendly. Further it was explained that it was
electronics which was behind all these, i.e blending of electronics and
mechanical which has resulted in such advanced two and four wheeler.
Students learnt about ECU(Electronic
Controller Unit),which is future of Automotive industry and needs lot of research
and development. Student came to know about automatic electronics which was
different from daily curriculum.
5. WORKSHOP ON TRENDS IN ELECTRONICS, MICROCONTROLLER AND THEIR APPLICATIONS:

guidance of Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, organized a 2 day Robotics workshop on 3rd & 4th Feb 2014. More than 100 students from ECE, ME & Applied Sciences participated in the event. During the workshop were given introduction to basics of robotics and the electronic components such as resistor, capacitor, op-amp etc & how they relate them with the daily life products & robotics. Also introduction
was given w.r.t AVR studio & ATmega8 & various components that
are used to make robot. Students were taught Programming using embedded C
language through AVR studio4 to observe different patterns of LEDs.
This increased student’s knowledge about embedded C language & its
application. Further details of sensors & motors with their interfacing & practical use in the robot was discussed. Line following robot assembling & programming & then burning it on AVR Controller was done. Every line following robot was working. Also students were explained how
to apply Dual Tone Multiple Frequency program in the line following
robot i.e. to control movement of robot using number keypad of a mobile.
Each student got certificate, Kit and study material specially designed by experts of industry
